✨ Thanks for having us at this exciting event! ✨
We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of the 2024 Dubai Future Solutions - Prototypes for Humanity. The winning project in health, ANGIE_h2020, was tested and optimized using our models!
We made valuable connections with the medtech industry, researchers, and regulators, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead.
We’re thrilled about the possibilities and can’t wait to see our models making an impact in medtech, education, and research.

Stroke Alliance For Europe (SAFE)
In this EU Science, Research and Innovation project, ANGIE_h2020, the research team developed 3D-printed re-constructions of their patient’s brain vessels based on MRI scans to ensure that the drug delivery operated under realistic conditions. The 3D modelling technology means that the models can accurately replicate the brain’s intricate vascular system and simulate real blood flow conditions.
The recognition of the accuracy of their brain 3D models in the medical community means that they are now being made available for educational purposes, providing a realistic and safe environment for doctors treating stroke to hone their skills and facilitate earlier and more extensive training.
Ultimately, this advancement could mean more patients will have access to more lifesaving procedures and go on to improve stroke treatment outcomes.

Stroke Alliance For Europe (SAFE)
During #BrainAwarenessWeek, 11-17 March, we are focusing on the importance of research in stroke. Each day we will share some insights into new and exciting stroke research in Europe. Today we are focusing on the ANGIE_h2020 project, which aims to develop nano-robots to deliver targeted drugs and unblock blood vessels to fight stroke from within.
The research process led to the development of 3D-printed re-constructions of patient’s brain vessels based on their MRI scans. The accuracy of these brain 3D models has been recognised in the medical community for their ability to facilitate a realistic and safe environment for doctors treating stroke to hone their skills. Fabian Landers tells us how their new 3D models could lead to earlier and more extensive training.
